Nils Osmar’s Artwork — Comics and Paintings and More

I started doing artwork when I was in gradeschool, drawing little pictures in the margins of my parents’ books… and… well… I never stopped. After college, I tried making my living as an artist for a couple of decades, doing book covers and illustrations and advertisements. I was also doing some acting and writing stage plays that I would produce in festivals at Seattle’s New City Theater. (My first stage play was an adaptation of a comic book story I had written and drawn called “The Ghost and Ms. Demure.”) I also published a line of independent comic books. Superhero Comic Book Page

in the late 1980s, I published a line of comic books… One of them had a kind of ridiculous character called Rad Rocker. There wasn’t really anything original about the character or the stories, they were just for fun, because I had grown-up reading comics and always liked a superhero stories. This it’s from the page that printed originally in a comic called “Heroes,” then later reprinted in Emerald City Comix and Stories. I was the writer, and I did the pencil layout; the backgrounds were drawn by Robin Walker; Tim sailed did the; I did the coloring.
